FOUNDER
All About Them Pet Sitting was founded in the fall of 2004 by Mary Landheer. After many years of working away from animals, which has always been my passion, and completing my associate degree in animal science (horse science), it was time to get back to the rewarding work of animal care.
We are bonded, insured, and CPPS (certified professional pet sitter) through Pet Sitters International. When you have to be away, either at work or that vacation, we provide in your home care for your furry family members, to cover all the needs for your babies while your away. The Rockford area has allowed me to grow an amazing pet care business the last 15 years, and look forward to continued growth in the Rockford area for years to come. References always available.

I’m the proud mom of cats, parrots and a dog. All of my kids are rescues, most are seniors or special needs. I have worked in animal rescue for over 12 years. I have foster cats, kittens and other small animals. I specialize in fostering sick, injured or special needs cats and have fostered thousands of cats over the years. For the last 10 years I worked for a local Humane Society, most recently as the shelter manager before leaving in 2018.
I currently run a small rescue of my own focusing on parrots of all kinds and special needs or injured cats who may otherwise be turned away at other shelters. I’m currently on the Board of Directors for Boone County Animal Services Auxiliary. I foster for them, and a few other local rescues. I have extensive experience providing medical care to pets including Sub Q fluids, medication and feeding tubes.
